Raytheon Won USD 109 Million Contract for Missile Defense System

US: Raytheon Company has received a USD 109 million Engineering Services contract for its Patriot Air and Missile Defense System. The contract, issued by the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, is for ongoing technical support and services to the US Army and Foreign Military Sale customers to ensure readiness of their Patriot systems. Patriot is a capable air and missile defense system, providing protection against a full range of advanced threats, including aircraft, tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Customers around the world will benefit from the maintenance and upgrades that result from this contract – especially the technical baseline improvements designed to counter evolving threats. The US Army recognises the importance of investing in Patriot sustainment, especially given the instability in the world today,” said Ralph Acaba, Vice President of Integrated Air and Missile Defense at Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems business. Under this contract, the system analysis, software development, testing and logistics support, and other country-specific system requirements.
