Rappahannock Electric Cooperative selects GO! Sync Mobile GIS

California, USA, 15 May 2007: TC Technology announced that Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) has selected GO! Sync Mapbook with Redline Extension as its Mobile GIS standard. GO! Sync’s mapping software will integrate with REC’s enterprise GIS providing information to both office and field personnel in support of engineering, operations and customer service work flows.

REC is a member owned utility providing electric service to more than 100,000 connections in parts of 16 Virginia counties. The cooperative maintains over 12,000 miles of power lines through its service area.

GO! Sync Mapbook with Redline Extension is an enterprise solution built for organizations invested in ESRI ArcGIS software. Rendering directly from a geodatabase and providing a suite of field-friendly tools such as searching, tracing, sketching, and routing on an extensible application framework, REC will implement GO! Sync Mobile GIS along with customizations tailored to improve the efficiency of field operations.
