Lagos, Nigeria: Nokia has announced new applications in its devices that allow Muslims who use Nokia devices to effectively take part in the spiritual activities. The most innovative feature about the application is that it is location specific, which means that alerts on prayer times automatically change depending on the location of the Phone user.
The devices which include X3, 5230, N97 mini, C5 and C3, have alarm that alerts users on the respective prayer times. General Manager of Nokia West Africa Philip De-La-Vega said that the new applications allow Muslims to listen to large collections of praise worship otherwise known as Adhkar. They can also learn how to read the Holy Quran, Hadith and Duaa. With the GPS available on the phones, users are guided on the correct direction of the Qiblah which directs them on prayer positions.
