Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions of US announced that the company’s President Preetha Pulusani will address attendees at the 8th Global Spatial Data Infrastructure conference (GSDI-8), being held in Cairo in conjunction with the annual International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) Working Week 2005. Pulusani will discuss the role of open spatial enterprises in helping national, regional and local governments make smarter decisions as they face natural or man-made disasters or day-to-day business challenges.
The event brings together participants from around the globe to focus on the policies, technologies and applications for enabling a spatially interoperable world through open, interoperable spatial data infrastructures (SDIs).
Commenting on the conference, Pulusani said, “Open spatial enterprises are the starting point for sharing spatial data with security, scalability and manageability in a global environment. We applaud the standards and initiatives that are being discussed at GSDI-8 to foster the evolution of spatial data infrastructures among organizations worldwide.”
