PlanetObserver announces Partnership with Airbus Defence and Space

France: PlanetObserver, provider of value-added geospatial data for civil and military solutions, today announced a new partnership with Airbus Defence and Space, a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services, to distribute their portfolio of very high resolution imagery and elevation products and services in Europe.

In addition to its own range of global medium resolution imagery and elevation products, PlanetObserver now offers very high resolution Pléiades and SPOT imagery along with WorldDEM elevation data, just to name a few, and the new OneAtlas Data services for smarter decision making.

The Earth Observation market is aspiring for increasingly more high and very high resolution data.  This trend is strongly driven by defence and intelligence applications followed by civil markets, including urban planning, agriculture, energy and natural resources. With Airbus Defence and Space geospatial data on board and its 30-year expertise in the geospatial industry, PlanetObserver can offer the proper solutions and services to all customers across those different industries.

Providing insights and not only data to customers is another key trend. PlanetObserver services are backed up by the OneAtlas Platform that combines premium imagery and industry-leading expertise to deliver Thematic Services.

“It is my pleasure to announce that Airbus Defence and Space data and services can now be provided by PlanetObserver. Airbus Defence and Space is a renowned market leader of the geospatial industry, and this partnership offers additional services and products to our European clients and partners,” said Laurent Masselot, PlanetObserver CEO.
