Pitney Bowes Business Insight has released the latest version of its Encom Discover application, a GIS toolbox for geoscientists worldwide.
The Encom Discover 12.0 release enhances the users’ workflow efficiency and analytical capabilities. Geoscientists, engineers, environmental scientists and cartographers will benefit from the advanced support for massive grids, intuitive drillhole cross-section creation and regeneration, as well as the ability to batch create and print maps.
This release also bundles Encom Discover 12.0 and the latest version of Encom Discover 3D (6.0) into one package, simplifying the installation process and providing Discover users with a powerful 3D viewer. Encom Discover 3D’s extensive modelling capabilities are further enhanced by the ability to visualise and interpret SEGY seismic sections, adding substantial benefits for energy industry users.
“The development of Encom Discover is driven by both the demands of our clients and technological advances in the GIS field. This ranges from new additions like LIDAR topographic grid support and hydrological analysis tools to improving everyday fundamentals such as map production,” said Alex Zdziarski, product manager of Natural Resource GIS Software, Pitney Bowes Business Insight.
