Peru signs MoU with the United Kingdom

Peru: National Aerospace Research and Development-CONIDA Space Agency (Peru) and the United Kingdom Space Agency-UKSA have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). On the Peruvian side the document was signed by Colonel Enrique Barriga Pasco, Head of CONIDA and the British side Geoff Gladding signed on behalf of the UKSA.

The MoU is expected to bring enormous benefits to Peru in terms of technology. Meanwhile, CONIDA has recently completed a feasibility study for implementation of the National Operation Center of Satellite Images. The study has recommended the implementation of a satellite system, which must have an earth observation high resolution satellite, a ground station mission control and a programme of comprehensive training and technology transfer.
