Goa, India: Pitney Bowes Business Insight (PBBI) held its first ever SAARC channel partner meet in India. The meet held in Goa over 3 days was attended by partners from across the region. Senior global executives and vertical experts presented the expanded product portfolio of the company including new solutions introduced in India which significantly empowers them to address the key focus verticals better. The senior management from India highlighted the increased focus on India and the company’s plans to attain market leadership in select verticals of focus and segments where it has a natural advantage due to its track record, product portfolio and solutions. PBBI is significantly expanding its channel network both in India and the SAARC region across system integrators, value added resellers and partners. In India alone, the target is to double its network in 12 months. 
Addressing the partners, Manish Chowdhary, Managing Director, Pitney Bowes Software India, said, “Partners are critical to the aggressive plans we have to double our sales in India every year. With an expanded channel partner network and over 100 people strong vertical focused customer facing team across sales, marketing, services and support  in India, we have got the right foundation for our plan to go for market leadership.” 
Luis Maria Abraira, Sales Director for New Business Development Region (which includes India) said, “As we fast grow our channel presence in the region, there is a strong need to induct them and provide them the necessary information and tools to succeed in the marketplace. The first of its kind partner meet was meant to be a platform addressing this and the response from the partners was quite encouraging. India presents a tremendous opportunity for PBBI and we intend to have more such events as we put to action our plan for growth and market leadership.” 
Meanwhile the company announced major expansion of its product portfolio, in line with its vision of gaining market leadership in the fast growing Indian market for enterprise software and related solutions.  A new, advanced version of MapInfo, its flagship product and a global market leader in the location intelligence space will now be available in the Indian market. Two new solutions which will empower its product portfolio in India – Crime Patroller, a solution that provides crime intelligence and Paramics, a traffic management solution will also be made available in India.
