Pakistan: A land record computerisation centre was recently established in the Lahore cantonment. The aim of this centre is to speed up the procedure of getting property and land plots related work done.”This modern system will become fully functional in all districts of the province, the culture of corruption, bribery and forgery in the matters relating to land would be eliminated and the people will get rid of the obsolete and exploitative system of Patwaris and Tehsildars,” said CM Shahbaz Sharif while inaugurating the centre.

“World Bank has expressed satisfaction over the pace of the project and provided additional grant of $50 million for this purpose and third-party monitoring has been conducted to ensure transparency of the project,” said Irfan Elahi, Planning & Development Chairman.
