OS MasterMap is an intelligent digital map designed by Ordnance Survey. Based on the National Grid, it includes topographic information on every landscape feature with relative positions and elevations of every town, manor, parish, or tract of land. Mapped to minute detail from fields to pillar boxes when combined with hi-resolution aerial photography from Getmapping users will have access to the best of both worlds. Accurate map based features and outlines are allied to the real world familiarity provided by the matching photography which is available (subject to coverage) in either 12.5cm or 25cm resolution. The imagery reveals trees and vegetation, buildings and other easily recognizable man-made features to provide structured location information plus additional site information that would not appear in normal mapping.
