Oracle Corporation’s Global Product Manager is confirmed as a keynote speaker at Laser-Scan’s User Group Conference this summer.
This is big news for the Cambridge-based company, which started working with Oracle less than a year ago.
Oracle’s Mike Turnill will get the conference underway when he shares his view of the industry with delegates. The rest of Day One is packed with demonstrations, workshops and presentations focussing on Laser-Scan’s newest product, Radius Topology (an extension to the standard Oracle database).
The second day of presentations and workshops gets off to a galloping start with a keynote speech from the Managing Director of KMS (the Danish National Mapping Agency). Following a successful map generalisation project at KMS, Niels Andersen will discuss the organisation’s experiences and its outlook on the future.
The two-day event offers a range of activities showcasing new technology and innovative products from Laser-Scan and its partners and customers. Speakers from Laser-Scan’s user communities in the fields of defence, national and commercial mapping, and government will be discussing why Laser-Scan technology is their preferred choice for developing their solutions.
A new feature of this year’s conference is the “Talk to the Experts” slot. This is a great opportunity for delegates to pick the brains of Laser-Scan’s team of specialists. Experts will be available for advice on a range of topics, from generalisation to topology. Delegates can pre-register for the one-to-one advice sessions online at: https://www.laserscan.com/2002conference/experts.htm.
The Laser-Scan User Group Conference is a must-attend event for decision-makers across the GIS and IT industries.
