SHARE

7 September 2006: Optimal Geomatics Inc., has announced the award of a LiDAR survey project valued at US$380,000 for a new transmission line right of way providing additional interconnectivity between Southern California, Arizona, and the southwestern desert region. This project requires a fast-track approach to data acquisition and processing to deliver a ready-to-design terrain model along with associated topographic mapping information and aerial photography.

The project specifications entail Optimal providing a 3D elevation model complete with height measurements of above ground wires, poles, and vegetation that affect the safe and efficient design of the new line. The end-product will significantly assist in the designing and implementation of a reliable and economically beneficial new transmission line right of way.
