Optimal awarded USD297 Thousand contract to map Transmission Line System

British Columbia, Canada, 24 May 2008: Optimal Geomatics announced the award of contracts totaling US$297 thousand to update the transmission line risk model for a major gas pipeline system in the Southern United States. The project involves developing digital orthophotography and developing an updated building database that will be used to determine risk factors for the company’s entire transmission pipeline system.

Optimal Geomatics is offering pipeline industry professionals with an integrated suite of sensors comprised of high-resolution digital cameras, infrared sensors, LiDAR (scanning laser), and DGPS for surveys and other services to better manage their assets.
