The Ontario Association for Geographic and Environmental Education (OAGEE) is dedicated to promoting and supporting geographic education in Ontario. Over the last several years, OAGEE has been instrumental in helping to raise the awareness of the use of geographic information system (GIS) in K-12 education in the province. This year, at
the annual ESRI Canada User Conference in Mississauga, Paul VanZant, President of OAGEE, will accept the Award of Excellence on behalf of OAGEE for their contribution to GIS education.
OAGEE is a non-profit organization whose goal is to support geographic education in Ontario. Through its quarterly publication (The Monograph), its annual conferences, and its on-line resources, OAGEE strives to provide material that is useful to teachers of geography and related disciplines at both the elementary and secondary school levels.
