The Surveying Office of Thuringia has commissioned Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) and its partners AED-SICAD and grit to develop and set-up an online information system for its real estate cadastre. The system is based on SICAD internet technology (SICAD-IMS) and is scheduled to be in productive use by the end of 2003. The solution enables private surveying companies to produce official extracts from the real estate cadastre and to pass on this information to the citizens. The land surveying office chose the SICAD-IMS solution offered by FSC, AED-SICAD and grit after evaluating financial and technical criteria. The solution is provided to effectively support the reorganization of the cadastre offices and to accelerate the expansion of the services offered to the end users. It is intended to represent an integrated part of Thuringia’s e-government concept.
