OGC India Foundation, in association with National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) are organizing a ‘OGC India Forum Meeting’ on Tuesday, 03rd November 2015. The meeting would deliberate on two key topics the Smart City mission and the National Land Records Modernization Programme(NLRMP). Participants would discuss and understand the modalities in the area of ‘Smart Cities’ , which would be the first ‘Plug Fest’ attempted in India. The core element of the ‘Plug Fest’ is that engineers from all parties bring their services to the table, and connect them to enable cross‐agency and cross‐system workflows to be tested and solutions to existing issues resolved quickly and pragmatically.
NLRMP is a flagship program aimed at modernization of the management of land records, minimization of land/property disputes and enhancement of transparency in the land records maintenance system. The participants at the meeting, would look at the Charter of the existing OGC ‘Land and Infrastructure DWG’ and understand how ‘Indian use cases’ in the area can be submitted for deliberations, leading to much needed standards in the area.
