Nominations open for ‘GIS Development Geospatial Awards’

New Delhi, India: Geospatial Industry has been evolving and maturing as one of the mainstream industry having its own identity in world economy. Undoubtedly, this has been possible only by innovations and excellence brought forward by geospatial technology developers, professionals, end users and policy makers. In order to recognise and encourage such efforts, GIS Development – the Geospatial Media Company announced open nominations for the ‘Geospatial Awards’ to recognise exemplary innovations and excellences in geospatial industry under the auspices of Geospatial World Forum 2011.

Nominations for these prestigious awards are encouraged from all projects involved in development, implementation, or application of geospatial and allied technologies. The nominations must be submitted by 31st October 2010. Nomination forms are available online at https://awards.gisdevelopment.net. The awardees shall be selected through a process and eventually judged by the industry experts.

According to GIS Development’s Chief Executive Officer, Sanjay Kumar, “Such an exercise shall bring forward an appreciation and motivation to awardees and also provide an opportunity to geospatial industry to learn from these experiences.”

The awards shall be presented during the Awards Night on the occasion of Geospatial World Forum 2011.
