Nominations invited for ‘Young Geospatial Scientist 2013”


India: The Rachapudi Kamakshi Memorial Trust has invited nominations for the Rachapudi Kamakshi Memorial Gold Medal for ‘Young Geospatial Scientist 2013’. The last date for submitting the nominations is December 31, 2013.

The basic criteria for the award will be the research work carried out in the field of geospatial science and technologies with innovativeness and appropriate use of scientific methodology. It must be backed with quality write-up, social relevance and commercial acceptability of the idea and the adequate usage of geospatial technology. An eminent panel of jury will evaluate the nominations.

The trust has invited nominations from scientists, engaged in research work in any of the areas related to Geospatial Information Science and Technology, who are not more than 35 years of age, as reckoned on 31 December 2013. Nominations for the award should clearly state the scientific contribution supported by relevant documents. Self nominations are permitted. The award will be presented during the annual India Geospatial Forum to be held from 4th to 7th February, 2014 at Hyderabad.
