Nigerian Space Agency releases data for resource monitoring

Nigeria: The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has released relevant satellite datasets for socio-economic and intelligent mapping and resource monitoring across Nigeria and other parts of the globe.

Seidu Mohammed, NASRDA Director General, said, " “We will leverage on the progress made through the development, launch and utilisation of Nigeria Sat-2 and Nigeria Sat-X products to advance space technology in the sustainable development of our beloved country, Nigeria."

He stated that NASRDA was intensifying effort towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in the country and Africa at large. He also noted that the imagery from NASRDA satellites are being used by 18 universities, six MDAs and more than 100 academic researchers across Nigeria, Africa, Europe, Asia and other parts of the world.
