Nigeria commissions PLAGIS

Nigeria: Sivan Design, a leading provider of GIS-ERP turnkey solutions, announced the successful commissioning of PLAGIS – GIS with ERP capabilities for Land and cadastre management in Plateau State, Nigeria.

Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, President of Nigeria commissioned the PLAGIS at the Ministry of Lands and Survey offices in Jos, Nigeria. He said that the modern information systems would help government in improving management of its resources. “Hence, such systems should be installed in every state of the federation,” he added. The President also watched a live demonstration of the system. The first land Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) was issued to the President by the state government.

PLAGIS is a unit of the Ministry of Land, Survey and Town Planning of Plateau state. One of the goals of this administration was to control urban development by modernising the processes of land titling. President Goodluck described it a unique project and commended the state government for the initiative.
