US: PTFS was recently awarded a five year multi-million dollar prime contract from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) GEOINT Research Center (GRC) for a programme called ILS Next. ILS Next replaces NGA’s legacy Voyager library management system which has been in operation for over a decade.
PTFS will work closely with the staff of the GRC to replace the legacy Voyager bibliographic cataloging system with ArchivalWare DLS. PTFS’ DLS enables ingest, cataloging, storage, discovery, conversion, repurposing, collection, and assessment of geospatial and other multi-INT content on all three NGA network domains. PTFS’ expertise with hundreds of different geospatial file formats will help the GRC manage and share geospatial data throughout the IC. PTFS’ strong background in geospatial content management coupled with extensive experience in deploying and managing Integrated Library Systems will provide NGA with superior expertise throughout the duration of the contract. PTFS staff will implement the application with GRC staff, and enhance functionality based upon specific requirements identified by the GRC.
