Options to improve sustainable land management in the Peel-Harvey region are being promoted in a new AGMAPS Land Manager program launched this month.
Developed by the Department of Agriculture, AGMAPS is a comprehensive resource to assist the region’s farmers, land managers and advisers with sustainable land management decisions. The CD-Rom package is available free of charge.
Department district manager Neil Guise said information on the sustainable use and management of land resources was one of the key means of empowering effective on-ground action. The area covered by the new edition included the shires of Kwinana, Serpentine-Jarrahdale, Rockingham, Mandurah, Murray, Waroona, Boddington and Harvey.
