US: The Rock Island District of the US Army Corps of Engineers has updated the Illinois Waterway Navigation Charts and they are now available to the public. The navigation charts depict the Illinois River from the Mississippi River at Grafton, Illinois, to Lake Michigan at Chicago and Calumet Harbors. The new charts replace the 1998 version and were created using the most recent aerial photography and survey data developed by and available to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

These bound sets of river charts indicate important river features such as open channel areas, aids to navigation, locks and dams, hazardous areas such as the wing dams, bridge clearances, boat ramps, and other useful information to ensure a safe and enjoyable boating experience.
