Maporama, the provider of location-centric applications, announced the availability of new cartographic data for Norway and Finland. This evolution of Maporama’s geographic coverage was prepared in collaboration with Elveg and NovoSat. Thanks to Maporama’s technological architecture, all the new data, representing over 25000 cities in Norway and in Finland, has been integrated within a few days. This capacity and flexibility are Maporama’s decisive competitive advantages, the company being the only player on the market capable to guarantee its customers not only ever up-to-date data but also an unmatched frequency of updates.
These most recent modifications, extensions, and updates cover the highest level of detail, with, in particular, newly built streets and roads, one-way streets, street names and numbers, points of interest (hotels, restaurants, museums, administrations, hospitals, monuments, railway stations…), and road signs. Thanks to this latest update of Maporama’s geographic coverage, the company’s customer’s benefit from the most up-to-date data combined with the market’s most powerful location-centric products. This data is totally integrated with Maporama Unified Database and thus accessible from all Maporama’s products, in particular the company’s suite of professional solutions Maporama Enterprise Solutions and its development tool Maporama Web Services.
Regularly and frequently updated data are a sine qua non for a true and fast return on investment of strategic location-centric applications designed, for example, to reduce travel-related costs and improve the efficiency of mobile sales representatives, to track vehicle fleets in real-time and eliminate non-productive distance-related costs, to shorten sales cycles by efficiently guiding consumers to the closest outlet having a particular product in stock.
