Africa: Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy has selected Spatial Dimension’s FlexiCadastre as their new mining cadastre system. “This is a very exciting project for us as the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy has always been at the forefront of using technology to assist in good governance in their minerals sector. The Ministry of Mines and Energy has invested heavily in computer-based systems since the early 1990’s and for many years had one of the leading Computerized Mineral Title Management Systems (CTMS) globally. However as a custom built solution it became difficult and costly to support and maintain, and in 2013 the Ministry approached Spatial Dimension for a proposal to implement FlexiCadastre to automate their mineral titling workflows and improve compliance within the sector,” said Bill Feast, Chief Executive of Spatial Dimension.
