MRSS elects new president

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: The Malaysian Remote Sensing Society (MRSS) elected Associate Prof. Dr. Abdul Rashid Mohamed Shariff from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) as their new president at the 17th Annual General Meeting of the society held on 15th May 2012. He was earlier the secretary of the society. The post of the president was previously held by Dato’ Nik Nasruddin Mahmood. The MRSS plans to rebrand their society and change their name to “Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia” (IGRSM).
