Australia: McMullen Nolan Group (MNG) has appointed former Wood & Grieve Engineers’ chief executive officer Mike Best as the company’s new non-executive chairman. The company provides spatial solutions to the land development and resources and infrastructure sectors across Australia.
Best joined the MNG board as a non-executive director in May 2013 and was unanimously voted into the role of non-executive chairman at an MNG board meeting held on March 21, 2014. He replaces McMullen as non-executive chairman.
Best spent 24 years with Wood & Grieve Engineers, commencing in 1988 as a project engineer before rising through the ranks to become the firm’s CEO in July 2003. He led the national engineering consultancy company until 30 June 2012 when he announced his retirement from fulltime commitments.
