UK, 14 May 2007: MetaCarta announced a partnership with Clickability a provider of on-demand web content management software. Through this partnership, MetaCarta’s Geographic Text Search (GTS) technology will support Clickability’s web content management platform, by adding geographic relevancy to a publisher’s content enabling publishers to localize, personalize and monetize content.

MetaCarta’s GTS technology identifies implied and explicit references to geographic locations within documents, assigns latitude/longitude coordinates to the references, and indexes the document, all while being displayed on a map, will be offered to Clickability customers using its on demand cmPublish content management platform. With an emphasis on ease-of-use for non-technical users and sophisticated features for advanced users, cmPublish supports the entire content lifecycle including the ability to deliver, interact, measure, and adapt.

John Girard CEO, Clickability, said, “With the addition of MetaCarta’s technology, publishers will be able to present content, media and visitor relationships with geographic relevance. This will have an immediate impact on cross-site browsing to increase page views and foster community growth by making it easier for online visitors to find one another.”
