U.S. based MapText, Inc. has recently announced that the Virginia Department of Transportation has selected the Company’s market-leading automatic text placement software, Label-EZ, for its map production operations. Map Text develops software for the automated labeling of the points, lines, and areas depicted on maps and charts. MapText’s Label-EZ software will be used to place names on maps according to the highest cartographic standards, quickly and cost-effectively. MapText’s Label-EZ is fully compatible with all major GIS systems used by DOT’s.
