Plainsboro, New Jersey, USA, 10 May 2006 – MapText, Inc. announced that the upcoming release of Label-EZ, the company’s multi-GIS text placement solution, will be compatible with Autodesk Map 3D 2006.

MapText responded to a market demand by providing a text placement solution for Autodesk Map users. The number of engineers and geospatial professionals who need a flexible way to integrate CAD and GIS information is steadily increasing. MapText’s Label-EZ, places text fully automatically on maps of any scale and style according to the highest cartographic standards and precise user preferences. Label-EZ provides users with conflict detection across all layers of information. Users can set placement rules for individual layers and also control the relative priority among layers.

The companion software to Label-EZ, Label-Edit, will also be compatible with Autodesk Map 2006. Label-Edit is an extension that provides enhanced editing functionality. MapText also plans to provide an update to support Autodesk Map 2007 in the coming months for both Label-EZ and Label-Edit.
