Geoenthusiasts from all over the world are preparing for the largest mapping and location event of the year, Esri User Conference (Esri UC), July 14–18 in San Diego, California. The Esri UC draws more than 16,000 of the top GIS professionals, location analysts, and mapmakers. Attendees eagerly share their wealth of experience and knowledge in areas such as climate change, urban design, conservation, energy development, disaster response, health, public safety, transportation, retail, real estate, and all levels of government.

“As mapping continues to grow as a tool to solve diverse problems from illiteracy to health epidemics, the Esri UC has become the main stage for a widely diverse set of leaders to share their thoughts on the world,” said Linda Hecht, Esri CMO. “Over the years, we have been inspired by speakers like Jane Goodall and will.i.am who all have remarkable stories about using maps to effect change.”

Maps, location, and geography are changing how we see the world. The Esri UC is the one place to hear from experts on the latest business and technology trends driving this change. Learn about the pros and cons of cloud versus on-premise computing, hyperlocal apps, story maps, location strategy, geography as a platform, Python, APIs, cartography, GIS management strategies, and so much more, including saving the world.
