MapmyIndia releases ‘India’s first house address maps’

New Delhi, India: MapmyIndia announced the launch of ‘India’s first house address maps’, MapmyIndia Maps Version 5.0. At present, the house address maps are available for Delhi, NCR and Chandigarh. Maps Version 5.0 also includes a directory of three million places as well as highly detailed, street level maps covering 809 cities,76,000 towns and villages of India..

As per the company, it is now possible for users to navigate door-to-door as Maps Version 5.0 has residential house addresses besides addresses of  offices, apartments and tourist places. Users can also find places through pin codes. For many places, MapmyIndia includes phone numbers as well. In addition, the company provides voice services in eight Indian languages – Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu (Marathi and others will follow soon) – in addition to English and foreign languages.

Rakesh Verma, MD, MapmyIndia, said, “We at MapmyIndia consider Maps Version 5.0 to be a significant development for travellers in India as well as the industry. Releasing house address maps for a country as complex as India was a big challenge, both in terms of data as well as technology.”
