Mapinfo to participate in new york gis day 2002 festivities On November 20

MapInfo’s Location-based Technology is to be Showcased at Cornell University and the City of Ithaca. Thousands of GIS Users are aupposed to to Participate in this event.

MapInfo will be showing its support for the National Geographic Society’s Third Annual GIS Day in Ithaca, NY. Through presentations and demonstrations at Tompkins County Public Library and Cornell University, MapInfo will showcase its location-based technology around this year’s theme “America’s Backyard: Exploring Your Public Lands.”

Held each year on the Wednesday of National Geographic Society’s Geography Awareness Week (November 18-22), GIS Day is a global event that celebrates GIS. Since its inception, GIS Day has educated millions of children and adults in more than 81 countries around the world.
