Noida, India, 15 March 2007: MapInfo Corporation announced that it has officially opened a research and development (R&D) and technical support center in Noida, India, expanding its global footprint and marking the company’s entrance into the countries fast growing technology economy.

“The launch of MapInfo India underscores our expanding global presence and establishes a new R&D office in one of the worlds leading technology centers” said Mark Cattini, President and CEO of MapInfo. “Manish Choudhary will be spearheading MapInfo India as its Managing Director of operations. MapInfo India will focus on the R&D of location intelligence technology and be a regional hub in the Delhi area and help drive global R&D efforts, enabling the company to better service partners and respond to customer needs. From its state-of-the-art facility, located at Logix Technopark, Noida in India’s National Capital Region, MapInfo India will work collaboratively with worldwide efforts to deliver location intelligence solutions to organizations globally.
