MapInfo increases partner and customer support with expansion of global partner

MapInfo Corporation has announced an expansion of its global partner, developer and alliance programs, providing organizations with new revenue opportunities in the growing markets of location-based services and customer relationship management (CRM). MapInfo is hosting a mid-year partner conference at its headquarters to discuss this expansion and further its commitment to its partners.

MapInfo recently announced the formation of three new business units–location-based intelligence (LBI), analytical customer relationship management (ACRM) and location- based services (LBS)–to help customers derive greater value from location-based intelligence and drive more insightful decision-making. As part of the expanded partner program, each business unit will be available to work closely with its partners, helping them to develop critical go-to-market opportunities that result in revenue-generating, innovative applications and world-class solutions.

Throughout its 16-year history, MapInfo has forged relationships with a wide range of global leaders including Agilent, Cognos, IBM, Microsoft, Motorola, Nortel, Oracle, Siebel, Siemens and Sun. MapInfo and its value-added partners will now be able to leverage these alliances, creating additional business opportunities. Additionally, partners will be encouraged to collaborate with MapInfo and its global partners to create new revenue streams and markets. For example, MapInfo recently introduced the miAware(TM) Developer Services Program, empowering the emerging mobile location developer community to build applications on top of MapInfo’s location-based services platform.

This program has introduced an entirely new partner community to the benefits of MapInfo’s innovative technology and opened doors for them to work with MapInfo’s industry partners.
