Kuala Lumpur: iKargo, a logistics application and Mapcloud, a mapping analysis application, have won the ‘Ideas 2 invest’ programme. The “Concept to Reality” programme is one of the many satellite programmes held on the sidelines of the fourth Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES). Both the applications have won the grants of RM150,000 ($50,000 approx) each.
One of the creators of iKargo, Richard Kok, said he would use the grant to launch the application on the website soon. Meanwhile, MapFlex Solutions Founder Mohd Salleh Mohd Ali, who came up with Mapcloud with another colleague, said by using its online mapping application would allow business improvements in terms of operations efficiency.
By using Mapcloud”s mapping analysis, Kuala Lumpur City Hall, for example, can capture how many unpaid licences and assessment tax, which would allow the city hall to improve its efficiency.
