Map Africa 2010 gaining support from leading organisations

Centurion, South Africa: GIS Development announced the association of High Commission of India in South Africa as Strategic Partner, which will co‐host a session “Indian Geospatial Technology Summit”. The summit shall project the due image of the country in the African community and reinforce its support towards helping African community.

Another crucial partnership is with Statistics South Africa (Stats SA), which will also co‐host a session on “Dwelling Framework”, which shall touch upon the challenges of developing the dwelling frame and brainstorm on ways of overcoming those challenges.

Leading private players like Rolta has joined hands with GIS Development as a principal industry partner. In addition, Trimble and Dataworld joined the event as Gold Sponsors. Dataworld shall conduct a technology track on its innovative products and applications.

Entering into such fruitful partnerships, Sanjay Kumar, CEO, GIS Development said “I am happy to receive the support from such leading organisations. Map Africa 2010 is scheduled to be held during November 23‐25, 2010 at Cape Town, South Africa. The theme of the conference “Geospatial Readiness for Building Africa” aims to deliberate upon the vital role of geospatial technologies in the areas that contributes to nation’s growth.
