LuciadMap selected for the city of Tilburg

LuciadMap has been selected by the Dutch city of Tilburg to build and integrate its next generation GIS application. LuciadMap is a Web enabled software for visualizing, distributing, transforming and editing geographical information in networked environments. Tilburg uses LuciadMap to access via the municipal intranet geographical data stored in an Oracle Spatial Data warehouse. Luciad developed Tilburg GIS for SIA, Tilburg’s Information and Automation Utility Company that manages – amongst other things – a large amount of public territory geographical data. Tilburg GIS supports all the functionalities of the city’s former GIS solution while making full use of the Oracle Spatial database. Moreover, the LuciadMap based Tilburg GIS offers a suite of extra functionality, such as spatial query capabilities, data integration, configurable data representation, enhanced user interaction and Web access. User-friendly, efficient and economical, LuciadMap is an indispensable tool for handling municipal spatial data and supporting decision making.
