Zurich, 31 January 2007 – CyberCity AG and the Chinese company Beijing Lingtu Software Co. Ltd. have established a Beijing-based joint-venture called Lingtu-CyberCity. The objective of the company is the generation of large-area 3D city models, starting with Beijing and Hong Kong.

Lingtu has developed their own car navigation system as well as a location based service system for mobile devices and distributes these systems in China. Lingtu-CyberCity will make 3D data available for these applications.

Furthermore the Joint-Venture will consolidate the technical possibilities and know-how of Lingtu and CyberCity AG and extent the market for both companies globally. The contract was signed on December 6, 2006 by the Lingtu Board Chairman Li Zhongliang and from the CyberCity party by CEO Dr. Franz Steidler and CTO Dr. Xinhua Wang.
