US: Leidos has been awarded two task orders by the US Army's Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Command Power and Integration Directorate (CP&I). The task orders have a one-year base period of performance, three one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately USD 108 million for both task orders, if all options are exercised. The task orders were awarded under the Rapid Prototyping and Technology Insertion (RPTI) Support contract. CERDEC supports a range of technical areas that leverage expertise in the radio/digital/electronic realms of information technology and systems engineering including command and control, communications, computers, electronic warfare, and sensors. Under task order 14, Leidos will support efforts for engineering and logistics, and provide science and technology insertion and material purchasing/inventory in support of the Army. Under task order 13, Leidos will provide installation kit and mobile platforms upgrade support, along with highly specialised painting and science and technology systems integration.

"This is an important milestone that enhances our relationship with the US Army Intelligence and Information Warfare Director and the Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center, and reflects our commitment to the Army's C4ISR mission and Common Operating Environment," said Sam Gordy, Leidos group President.
