Heerbrugg, Switzerland, 22 January 2007 – During the REMO-Conference, the most important event concerning the renovation of historical buildings in Poland, a Cooperation Agreement between the Technical University of Breslau and Leica Geosystems was signed.

The Technical University of Breslau is one of the most innovative educational institutes in Poland. The Architecture faculty continues this tradition with the establishment of a Competence and Training Centre for 3D Laserscanning. The aim of these new facilities will be to offer training courses countrywide and as such contribute to spreading – and making accessible – this new technology to a broader public.

One was quick to find an appropriate partner in the surveying industry. “Leica Geosystems is the global leader in regards to product quality and innovation. Locally we value the competent and friendly support from the Polish Leica Geosystems Selling Unit based in Warsaw”, said Ph. D. Eng. Jacek Kosciuk, Director of the Institute of Historical Architecture, who also showed that he was happy and proud of the delivery of the first Leica ScanStation to the Faculty in November.
