Laser-Scan supports Digital National Framework Forum at AGI2005 Conference

Laser-Scan will be supporting the DNF Forum to be held as part of the AGI2005 conference and exhibition at Chelsea Village, London from 8th-10th November. The DNF industry initiative encourages the sharing and integration of geographic and business information using best practice. The DNF Forum is designed to create a separate and dedicated area to feature DNF. Laser-Scan will be demonstrating their support of DNF Principles and will be available to discuss and share experiences of how these principles are implemented as part of their Enterprise Solutions.

Radius Topology is a lightweight and flexible solution that automatically corrects and aligns spatial data so that assets can correctly reference base mapping. It can be used in an interoperable manner with any GIS client that read/writes Oracle’s spatial type. In addition, Radius Topology calculates and records relationships between individual assets and the OS MasterMap features. The recently launched Radius Topology Wrappers will be on show to illustrate how Laser-Scan combines several of the key DNF principles into their enterprise solutions. The Data Association Wrapper will provide out-of-the-box functionality to produce reports highlighting which OS MasterMap features relate to each of your assets. If an asset relates to only part of an OS MasterMap feature the Wrapper can describe the ‘shape’ of these parts and assign them a unique identifier.
