Laser-Scan signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with leading professional services consulting firm, Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) to develop its presence in Australia.
The MOU is the first stage in the development of a business relationship, which will enable SKM to exploit Laser-Scan’s Radius Topology product as part of its drive to integrate spatial data into enterprise data management in Australia. SKM was founded in 1964 and is now renowned as the leading global professional services consulting firm. With offices located throughout the world, SKM is an ideal company to provide Radius Topology solutions to a range of markets.
Radius Topology extends the Oracle9i database and provides dramatic improvements to the speed and consistency of spatial data handling. Working behind the scenes, Radius Topology automatically adds topological intelligence to data; existing Oracle spatial software and GIS applications can continue unchanged. Laser-Scan’s Radius Topology brings the advantages of GIS to all users within the IT environment. Laser-Scan and SKM will focus their efforts primarily in the Australian market and have already started work on a number of key accounts.
