Japan offers satellite tech to Angola

Luanda, Angola: A Japanese delegation offered satellite technology to Angola but the country has not yet made any decision, according to Joaquim David, Minister of Industry, Geology and Mining, Angola. However, David recognised that the use of satellite contributes to better knowledge of the country’s territory and its geological potentials.

According to the minister, this technology also enabled better control of borders and sea waters. He added that some African countries such as South Africa, Nigeria and Morocco already have their own satellites.

The minister said that he will share what was heard in the presentation with his colleagues and chiefs to make a decision.
