Iran”s SharifSat to be launched soon

Iran: Iran is planning to send an Earth Observation satellite ‘SharifSat’ into the space soon. The satellite has been designed at the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran.

SharifSat has been designed by more than 100 students, alumni and professors of the Sharif University of Technology. It weighs less than 50 kilograms. SharifSat will be sent into space on board ‘Safir B-1’ satellite carrier. “The satellite will provide us clear images of the Earth,” said Reza Rousta Azad, Chancellor of Sharif University of Technology. He did not specify the date on which the satellite would be launched.
