Intergraph kicks off series of Asia Pacific conferences

Indonesia: Intergraph has kicked off its annual series of user conferences for the Asia-Pacific region with Intergraph 2011 Southeast Asia in Thailand and Indonesia. Intergraph 2011 Southeast Asia was held July 13-14 at the Amari Orchid Pattaya in Pattaya, Thailand, and on July 19 at Gran Meliã Jakarta in Jakarta, Indonesia. Both events were highly successful, with the Thailand conference attracting more than 200 delegates over the two days, and the Indonesia conference – which was the first-ever Intergraph user conference in the country – had more than 100 delegates attending.

At both conferences, the 3D Modelling & Visualisation Product Update session was very popular. This marks the growing trend in the process, power, and marine industries towards intelligent 3D engineering design. Other sessions featuring Intergraph’s Smart 3D technology were also very popular, with the SmartPlant 3D Customer Case Studies and Modular Design and Construction with Smart 3D getting high attendance figures at the Thailand and Indonesia conferences, respectively. There was also considerable interest in the Leica Geosystems session at the Indonesia event, focusing on Smart Scanning for Smart Design. 2D engineering is still important to our delegates, with a great number of delegates attending the SmartPlant Engineering & Schematics – Today and Tomorrow session in Thailand.

In August, the conferences head to Australia with Intergraph 2011 Australia held in three different locations: Adelaide, August 22; Perth, August 24; and Brisbane, August 26. The last Asia-Pacific conference will be Intergraph 2011 Korea, to be held August 30-31 in Seoul, South Korea.
