Intergraph for new OS Geospatial DDMS

Southampton, UK, August 2, 2007: Following an intensive tender process, conducted under the Public Contracts Regulations 2006, Competitive Dialogue Procedure, Intergraph has been selected as the preferred supplier by Ordnance Survey of Great Britain for the provision of its new Geospatial Database and Data Management System.

Ordnance Survey’s decision marks an important stage in the selection process although it does not yet constitute a contract award. The system will provide centralised planning and management of Ordnance Survey’s production activities in addition to managing the large-scale data holdings that are used to generate products such as OS MasterMap. The Intergraph team includes 1Spatial and Snowflake Software and includes Oracle’s database and application server technologies.
