INE Angola trains agents and supervisors in cartography

Luanda, Angola: National Statistics Institute (INE), Angola, organised a eight-day training in cartography for approximately 122 agents and supervisors, who will be responsible to ensure fair population and housing census in 2013.

In conversation with local media, the coordinator of the cartography sub-commission, Benjamim Afonso said that during the event the technicians will be entitled to gather necessary data to update the national cartographic map for sectioning the action areas of the teams.

He said that Luanda will comprise 22 cartographic teams. Courses of this kind were already held in the provinces of Zaire, Uíge, Kwanza Sul, Kwanza Norte, Malanje, Bengo, Huambo, Kuando Kubango, Cunene, Namibe and Benguela.
