The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) in Goa, India will soon launch a number of schemes like introduction of GIS and setting up of kiosks providing information about the plots in the industrial estates, around the state of Goa. GIS would facilitate easy and direct foreign investment in the state, in industrial sector and a software would be developed for the same within next month. This would also help the people to obtain plots in the industrial estates, on-line.
Another important scheme to be implemented by the IDC is the Integrated Infrastructural Development scheme that would provide an assistance of Rs 2 crore from the central government and Rs 3 crore from the state government. The scheme envisages development of the infrastructure for all the industrial estates in Goa.
