Indonesia: National Institute of Aeronautics and Space of Indonesia has upgraded its system to be able to receive and process high-resolution satellite imagery.

The agency is responsible for providing raw and processed satellite images to both central and local governments. The data is used in various fields like agriculture, forestry, fisheries, disaster mitigation, monitoring of natural resources and urban planning. The erstwhile system could only receive and process low and medium resolution data. Now, the system has been upgraded in accordance with Presidential instruction of 2012 on supply, use, quality control, processing and distribution of high resolution satellite remote sensing data.
